Shall we call it a star studded event or award winners rendezvous? President’s residency Rashtrapathi Bhavan glittered with achievers of different categories (Arts, education, Sports, Social service, Public Life etc) on 14th of April 2009. President of India Pratibha Patil presented the most coveted Padma Shri Award to comedian Vivek for his contribution to arts. Singers Anuradha Sriram and Udit Narayanan also were presented the award with Vivek. The first phase of awards took place on 31st of March honoring Aishwarya Rai Bachan and Akshay Kumar with others presenting Padma Shri.Vivek who is also fondly addressed as ‘Chinna Kalaivanar’ was much elated. Vivek’s comedy’s are always presented with a social awareness message about political happenings, superstition, illiteracy, ignorance, responsibility etc. We are proud to say that he is one of a kind comedian.The actor returned from Delhi today after experiencing the most memorable moment of his life.
